I ordered the Tuna Melt cause I wasn't feeling a smash burger, but my husband was. It's nice that they have other options outside of burgers. The sandwich felt very homey to me, but it's missing an extra layer of something for me. I think it would be so much better with bits of onion or maybe pickles. It was overall a super solid sandwich though. I also really liked the fries, they held their crisp even though we got takeout.

This burger is fire, the employees are friendly and the dining area was clean and inviting. 10/10

First off, what a fun little corner burger joint. I was working an estate sale and decided to come here for lunch based off the reviews and the menu selection. The menu itself is very easy and simple to order from. I got the Original roadside burger single and added bacon. The bacon was to die for! It was really and thick sliced. The burger itself was the perfect size for one and came with fries which were greatly crispy, my favorite! The place is fun to look at with art on the walls and seats inside and outside. The only reason that I gave the place a 4 star and not a 5 was their female employee was kind of a downer and definitely not happy to do her job. Her energy and positive attitude could have been better.

This Top Round location that I popped by here and there thanks to convenience is now an Irv's Burgers and I venture to say it's a step up. This location is always fun because it had a bunch of outdoor tables at a busy interaction. Plus they're open until 2am on Fridays & Saturdays - huge plus! There are 4 Irv's Burgers in SoCal (plus one in Vegas) but this location is nice with the aforementioned seats and also a small parking lot - no drive thru. Some locations are open for breakfast, but not this one! They open at 11am each day. I like their burgers, enjoy their hot dogs and especially like the cheese fries because gooey cheese is delicious. I've been to Irv's a lot but have yet to try their sandwiches so maybe those will rock my world. For the most part though, I find their food to be great fast food though I never crave it - it's always a stop out of necessity of ease & convenience. I like that Irv's (though not this location) has been a LA thing since 1946 under various owners. Gotta love going to a LA institution!

Just moved to neighborhood and wanted to finally try Irv's! The employee who helped us order was amazing, super nice and gave us free choco chip cookies (which were BOMB, could taste the brown sugar) since we mentioned it was our first time! I ordered the Irvs double and cheese fries. Cheese sauce for fries is a bit more authentic than your standard ballpark nacho cheese, but similar flavor profile, prob won't get again. The double burger was delicious though! Super smashed patties, shredded lettuce, sauce, cheese, and raw onion. The burger fell apart rather quickly, was super saucy, so I'll prob order the single next time. Irvs sauce is really good, like a smoky, thousand island-ish sauce. Ranch was way too dilly, won't order again. All in all really good experience, we'll make this is a regular in our rotation!

Doris and the staff at Irv's on La Brea are the absolute best! So kind & the food is delicious!! Thank you for the excellent service and delicious meal

I love borgors. Simple borgors. Irv's serves smash burgers but they been callin them "Pressed to Order" for almost 80 years. That means they've been making this sht since WWII and it shows cuz this a good borgor. The meat crispy and salty and delish. I like borgor so much I ordered a second borgor with the "cheese sauce" and it was 12am when I shouldn't be eating like this but eff my health, I come back for more delicious borgor.
